Jaqueline Hillier elm (Ulmus minor 'Jaqueline Hillier' - syn: U. elegantissima 'J.H')

My overall favorite bonsai until it failed to recover from the harsh winter of 2002/3. I was heartbroken!

The variety 'Jaqueline Hillier' was first introduced to the market in 1969, and the tree whose stump this bonsai was developed from was planted in a garden in Surrey in 1970. This made it not only one of the oldest examples of the variety on earth, but certainly the oldest bonsai of the veariety.
