English elm (Ulmus procera)

This was a great project to work on: developing a hollow old stump with not a single branch into a densely ramified bonsai. Even the somewhat bizarre nebari is harmonious with the overall tree. This bonsai was acquired by Stefano Frisoni, of Italy, who has done an excellent job in continuing the refinement.
